Limerino 1.0 — First App Store release

Limerino’s debut on the App Store: live Twitch chat as a fast Swift-native app. The launch feature set included inline emotes from Twitch, 7TV, BTTV, and FrankerFaceZ (animated, wide, and zero-width), channel tabs with chat history backfilled on join, watch-and-chat with the official Twitch player, Twitch sign-in, highlight notifications, block and mute-phrase rules, per-channel chat logs with search and export, and slash commands with composer autocomplete.

Apple publishes no “what’s new” text for a first release; this summary describes the 1.0 feature set.

Chat, built native. Live Twitch chat as a fast Swift app: inline emotes from Twitch, 7TV, BTTV, and FrankerFaceZ — animated, wide, and zero-width — with 7TV emote changes applied live as channels update their sets.

Channels. Tabbed channels with chat history backfilled on join, so a freshly opened channel starts mid-conversation instead of empty.

Watch and chat. The official Twitch player sits alongside chat, with Twitch sign-in for chatting under your own account.

Made yours. Highlight notifications with per-channel throttling, block and mute-phrase rules, per-channel chat logs with search and export, reply threads, and slash commands with composer autocomplete for commands, emotes, and @usernames.

Part of iOS. “Open a channel in Limerino” works from Siri, Spotlight, and the Shortcuts app; VoiceOver reads each chat row as a single utterance; and the design picks up Liquid Glass touches on iOS 26.
