Release notes
Every public App Store release of Limerino, newest first. Each version links to its full notes — the App Store note as published, plus more detail on what changed. Versions 1.0.1 and 1.1.5 never shipped to the App Store.
Dates are the day each version reached the App Store.
-
Predictions, Channel Points, Picture in Picture, and clips
Predict, vote in polls and spend Channel Points from the top of chat, keep a live stream playing in Picture in Picture when you leave Limerino, make clips under your own account, and put your own photo behind chat.
-
Emotes on the + button and a quicker emote picker
The + button beside the message box opens Emotes, in one tap when it has nothing else to offer, and the emote picker is quicker to search and to insert from.
-
iPad, Limerino badges, and a cleaner Profile and Settings
Limerino is a native iPad app now, Limerino badges show beside your Twitch badges, Profile is a few short groups and Settings a short list of plain rows, and one-word highlight alerts reach you while Limerino is closed.
-
Steadier layout, the delay reading, and Live Activities
The landscape top bar keeps the stream’s delay reading in view, the layout holds steady when the screen rotates or changes size, and the Live Activities switch says when iOS has them turned off.
-
Native video, a new app icon, and Siri
Live streams play in Limerino’s own player with its own controls, the app icon is a brighter glass bubble with a centred face, and Siri, Spotlight, Shortcuts, Control Center and the Home Screen can all reach your channels.
-
Landscape layouts, honest sending, and 7TV
Landscape is rebuilt around a chat layout you pick, every message you send says where it actually got to and can be locked and posted again, and 7TV reaches emote sets, name paints and emote cards throughout the app.
-
Pictures in chat, paints, and performance
The composer uploads photos with an optional inline preview, 7TV name paints reach every name and animate, and two full passes over speed, heat and battery: chat redraws less, launch is lighter, and idle cost is lower.
-
Landscape, whispers, and profiles
Landscape is rebuilt around chat beside video, whispers appear inline in the channel you are watching, chat flows the moment you return, and 7TV name paints render the way the web does.
-
Reply threads and moderator tools
Reply threads open in place over live chat, moderators get Delete, Message history controls real history, and 7TV emotes keep working past August 3.
-
Clips, videos, and chat replay
Clips and past broadcasts play in the app with synced chat replay, plus rebuilt notifications, a smarter mentions inbox, and faster, smoother chat.
-
Rock-solid mention notifications
The notification-tap crash is fixed and the Mention Vault always opens on your newest mentions, with faster live chat on launch.
-
Mention alerts and a smoother chat engine
Mention push alerts with the Mention Vault, plus a rebuilt chat engine — clean pinned-chat steps, exact scrollback, up to 120Hz.
-
One sign-in for everything
Chat and the video player now share one Twitch sign-in, with a chat quality pass and a simpler way to report bugs.
-
Sign-in reliability fixes
Sign-in sticks across launches, the newest message stays visible on quiet channels, and bug reports go straight from Settings.
-
Whispers, mod tools, and widgets
Whispers, moderator tools, Home Screen widgets and Live Activities, plus dozens of stability fixes.
-
Sign-in and chat fixes
Fixes Twitch sign-in and a batch of chat and keyboard issues.
-
