Real Twitch chat, native on iPhone.
Limerino is a Swift-native client for people who live in chat. Emotes from 7TV, BTTV, and FrankerFaceZ render inline, history backfills the moment you join, and the whole app opens straight into the conversation.
For iPhone · iOS 18 or later
Capabilities
If it happens in chat, it’s here.
Limerino reimplements the parts of Twitch chat that power users actually rely on, as a fast native app rather than a wrapped web view.
Emotes: 7TV, BTTV, and FrankerFaceZ render inline — animated, wide, and zero-width emotes included, with badges.
Backfill: Join any channel and recent history is already on screen — no staring at an empty room.
Whispers: Read and answer private messages without leaving the stream.
ModTools: Timeouts, bans, an AutoMod queue, and a moderation log — one tap from any message.
MentionAlerts: A push notification the moment someone @mentions you, even while Limerino is closed. Every hit lands in your Mention Vault.
UserCards: Tap any username for profile info and moderation actions.
Widgets: A Home Screen widget and Live Activities keep tabs on your favorite channels.
Accessibility: VoiceOver rotor actions, Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion supported throughout.
Watch & chat
The stream up top. The conversation never stops.
Pop the live stream in above chat with the official Twitch player. Viewer count, uptime, and a quiet live indicator stay in view while messages keep flowing underneath — no switching apps, no missed messages.
Up to 120Hz chat rendering on ProMotion iPhones
Channels
Every community, a swipe away.
Channel tabs hold your open rooms side by side, with history backfilled the moment you join. The switcher filters by Open, Favorites, Followed, and Live — search any channel on Twitch and drop straight into its chat.

Mention alerts, even while you’re away.
Turn on mention alerts and Limerino pushes a notification when someone @mentions you in chat — including while the app is closed. You stay in control of the noise:
- Scope alerts to channels you follow, or go as wide as Limerino’s chat-monitoring network reaches across Twitch
- Quiet hours, per-channel mutes, and sender cooldowns
- A Mention Vault that keeps your mention history in one place
Sign-in that stays out of your way.
Sign in once with Twitch’s own approval page — the official login, so the app never sees your password. One sign-in covers chat and playback, and it stays signed in across launches.
- Twitch’s official device authorization — approve on Twitch, nothing to retype
- One session for chat and the video player
- Sign-in tokens live in the iOS Keychain
Rock-solid mention notifications. Tapping a mention alert always opens the app cleanly, and the Mention Vault shows your newest mentions the moment you open it.
