Limerino is a Swift-native client for people who live in chat. Emotes from 7TV, BTTV, and FrankerFaceZ render inline, history backfills the moment you join, and clips and past broadcasts play inside the app — with the chat that was live at that moment replaying beside them.

Limerino reimplements the parts of Twitch chat that power users actually rely on, as a fast native app rather than a wrapped web view.
Emotes: 7TV, BTTV, and FrankerFaceZ render inline — animated, wide, and zero-width emotes included, with badges.
Backfill: Join any channel and recent history is already on screen — no staring at an empty room.
Whispers: Read and answer private messages without leaving the stream.
ModTools: Timeouts, bans, message deletion, an AutoMod queue, poll and prediction commands, and a moderation log — without leaving chat.
Pins & threads: Twitch’s pinned messages sit in a banner above chat, and following a reply thread highlights every answer.
UserCards: Tap any username for profile info, their recent messages, and moderation actions.
Widgets: A Home Screen widget and Live Activities keep tabs on your favorite channels.
Accessibility: VoiceOver rotor actions, Dynamic Type, and Reduce Motion supported throughout.

Put a picture in chat. Watch the names light up.
The composer uploads photos with an optional inline preview, 7TV name paints reach every name that has one, and two full passes over speed, heat and battery: chat redraws less, launch is lighter, and idle cost is lower.
Pictures in chat
The plus button beside the composer uploads a photo and drops the link in your message, location and camera details stripped first. Nothing uploads until you attach or paste an image yourself, and whether those links draw the picture inline is a separate switch, off until you turn it on.
Paints on every name
Mention chips, reply strips, threads, profiles, and replays all paint now — and animated paints move, driven by one shared clock so twenty moving names tick together instead of each running its own timer.
Faster, cooler, longer
Two sweeps across launch, rendering, images, and networking. A busy channel redraws only chat, your own message appears the instant you send it, and idle cost is lower, so a long session should be easier on the battery.
Gestures that do what you meant
A swipe to reply arms a reply instead of firing what it slid across, and dragging chat down to dismiss the keyboard hands off to the system’s own scrolling.
Keep the screen awake
A new switch under Settings › Device. Turn it on and your phone will not auto-lock anywhere in Limerino — normal locking resumes the moment you leave. It costs battery, which is why it ships off.
Timeouts that explain themselves
Timed-out and banned messages say for how long and why. Tapping a mention opens its channel and finds the message, and relative times drop the ticking seconds.

Every community, a swipe away.
Channel tabs hold your open rooms side by side, with history backfilled the moment you join. The switcher filters by Open, Favorites, and Followed — which puts live channels first — and searches any channel on Twitch.

Mentions
Told the moment your name comes up.
Turn on mention alerts and Limerino pushes a notification when someone @mentions you in chat — including while the app is closed. Every hit lands in one inbox that keeps thousands of past mentions, sortable, filterable by time, and searchable by sender.
You stay in control of the noise: scope alerts to the channels you follow or go as wide as Limerino’s chat-monitoring network reaches, then shape the rest with quiet hours, per-channel mutes, sender cooldowns, and a mute button on any person’s user card.
Emotes
Every emote set, switched on by you.
Twitch, BetterTTV, FrankerFaceZ, and 7TV each get their own switch, so chat renders with exactly the sets you want — animated, wide, and zero-width emotes included. 7TV supporter name colors carry through to usernames.

Pick a theme and an accent color, then set username and message text sizes independently. Compact rows, timestamps, a line break after usernames, inline link previews, and the channel status banner are all yours to turn on or off.

Sign in once with Twitch’s own approval page — the official login, so the app never sees your password. One sign-in covers chat and playback, and it stays signed in across launches.
