Limerino Terms of Use
Last updated
Limerino is a native, unofficial iOS client for Twitch. By using Limerino you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the app.
Lawful, respectful use
You agree to use Limerino only for lawful purposes and in keeping with Twitch's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. You are responsible for how you take part in chat through the app.
Zero-tolerance content policy
Limerino has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable is prohibited, and abusive behaviour toward other people is not allowed anywhere in the app.
Limerino gives you in-app tools that take effect right away:
- Report any message or person — long-press a message and choose Report message, or open a user and choose Report. This opens Twitch's own report flow for that user, where Twitch — which hosts the content — reviews and moderates it. Limerino keeps no copy of your report.
- Block a user instantly. Blocking immediately hides that user's existing messages from your view and filters out everything they send afterward — removing the content and ejecting the user from your chat experience.
- Filter the words and phrases you never want to see, in Settings → Rules.
Because Limerino is a third-party client that does not host Twitch's content, it cannot remove that content from Twitch itself. Instead it gives you tools that act immediately: Block hides and filters an abusive user right away, and Report opens Twitch's own report flow so you can escalate to the platform that hosts the content and can remove it for everyone. Limerino does not collect, store, or transmit your reports — Twitch handles moderation. We respond to objectionable-content and abusive-user concerns emailed to hello@meipath.com within 24 hours. There is no place in Limerino for objectionable content or for people who abuse others.
Third-party Twitch content
The chat and video you see in Limerino come from Twitch and the people who use it. This is third-party, user-generated content that Limerino does not create, own, or control, and it is also governed by Twitch's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Twitch is the platform that can remove content or sanction accounts across its service; Limerino's tools control what you see inside this app.
Privacy
How Limerino handles your data is described in the Privacy Policy, available in Settings → About → Privacy Policy. Please read it together with these Terms.
No warranty
Limerino is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. The app depends on Twitch's services, which may change or become unavailable at any time.
Not affiliated with Twitch
Limerino is an unofficial application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Twitch Interactive, Inc. "Twitch" and the Twitch marks are trademarks of Twitch Interactive, Inc.
